@Dhruva To resize an image to 300DPI, just use your favorite image editor and there should be an option to scale or resize the image/canvas to a specified DPI (I use GIMP). For training the Neural Network, you'd have to look at the linked documentation and go from there (I can't help you much with that). I would only train for that specific typeface if you do not receive an accurate result from the OCR in the first place AND have more images with that same typeface that you will want to OCR later.
Speaking from experience, Shadowplay is probably the lowest impact on performance program that you can find that can actively record and save past events in games. Since Shadowplay is directly connected to the NVidia GPU you have, it is the closest to no performance impact you can get. A possible solution to the heavy performance impacts you are seeing on startup is checking to make sure your drivers are up to date, as well as disabling some other programs from startup that you do not use or need.
From what I can compile from your post, I believe VMWare Horizon will suit your needs best compared to their other products. I can also recommend unRAID for both a Virtualization and NAS solution (lime-technology.com)
A good friend of mine uses software from www.Steinberg.net to create studio-quality music. I am not an expert in this area, however I suggest checking out their products to see if one fits your needs.
