The world's most used relational database system. Use this tag if your request is specific to SQLite databases; if it can be just "any" database, use the "database" tag instead.

SQLite is the world's most used relational database system. In contrast to other database management systems, SQLite is not a separate process that is accessed from the client application, but an integral part of it: So you don't need separate server to be set up in order to use this database, which makes it a number-one choice for stand-alone applications.

SQLite is e.g. used by web-browsers like Firefox or Chrome, but also by most Android apps, and many others. The term SQL stands for "Structured Query Language", a language commonly used with systems.

If your request is not specifically bound to SQLite, but could be fulfilled by any other database as well, please use the tag instead.
