Easy-to-learn video editor for Windows?
Shotcut is open source and it appears pretty powerful while not being too difficult to learn.

VirtualDub can also open MP4 files with the FFMpeg Input Plugin. It's small, fast, and open source.
Saving as MP4 is more complicated.
