I'm looking for open-source alternatives to UPX (Ultimate Packer for eXecutables).

Reason: UPX embeds information about the creators' copyrights into compressed executable files and prohibits its removal.

Are there any open-source alternatives similar to UPX that allow running the compressed executable file without unpacking it?

Perhaps there is a way to pack a compressed file from another program into a new executable?

P.S.: I respect copyright, but I dislike that a tool designed to reduce file size embeds data that is unnecessary for the program's operation, and it seems it does not provide the option to embed my own copyright into the compressed file as well (since I did write the program).
