What is the right software to use for digitally signing (timestamps from trusted timestamp authorities might also be needed) documents containing potentially original ideas prior to self-publishing if one struggles to master the simplest software due to being a bit of a layman regarding computers and has no money to pay for the software or learning materials?

  • you may want to take a look at softwarerecs.stackexchange.com/questions/74101/…. There are so many PDF readers out there that should support digital signatures that there is very likely a good amount of competition for features and there may be one that supports what you need. If you are trying to protect intellectual property of some kind you may want to speak to a lawyer in your area to see what would be sufficient to prove that this idea is yours. May 29 '21 at 21:25
