I'm looking for a good solution to code data visualization for biology with Python, this includes plotting graphs, models etc. I've heard about PyCharm could be used for Plotting, or to plot and see graphs on Atom – but do not know about the two.

I need to plot the codes line by line.

I like about Jupyter Notebook that I can just run a code line by line, but I don't want to download Anaconda and use much storage of my computer... Also, PyCharm has little helps for the Python language, which Juypter doesn't have. As I am a beginner, this would be useful for me.

Do you have recommendation?

  • Welcome to Software Recommendations! Please note that this site doesn't feature requests for product comparisions: SR is about suggesting specific software for specific needs you define. For details, see: Is tool x versus tool y a fair question? So please edit your post, list your requirements and ask for software meeting those, see What is required for a question to contain "enough information"? (eg what OS should it run on, what features do you need, how much you'd be willing to pay …) – Izzy Apr 13 at 12:32

I've edited your question slightly to make it fit. Maybe you can cross-check if that matches your needs, and fill any gaps? – Izzy Apr 13 at 12:36
  • You can install Jupyter without installing all of Anaconda. – Eric S Apr 13 at 13:59
