I'm searching for a version control system suitable for heavily fluctuating files (= filenames change often, structure changes often).

I'm thinking of some "snapshot"-like system, that would commit all files in a directory to a repo and find out name changes or file movements on it's own.

Prototyping a project requires heavy structural changes and file renaming (especially when talking about Java, where filename and class name must match).

Why not Git / Subversion ?

With Git or Subversion I spend >=50% of my time just managing filename changes or file movements.
