We were looking for an easy way to transfer files between two realtime operating systems. They have a direct connection, nobody can connect or listen in, so no need for encryption. Also it only for persisting log files, the data is public anyways.

When we were searching the web we found SFTP (simple file transfer protocol and NOT s e c u r e). We decided to use the commands from it and partially implement RFC913. I was wondering: On such an old protocol, there must be some kind of implementation available out there in the web. It is pretty hard to search for, because of the abbreviation name clash (and the fact that simple is a common word).

We found java (1, 2) implementations, but nothing for C or C++. Do you know any implementations?
