I would like to be able to encrypt my system disk in the classic way, using a password that is used to encrypt the disk.
It is not possible to use bitlocker unless you accept to keep the key in the TPM and fully rely on its blackbox security instead of your brain.[1] Veracrypt from Windows 10 1903 has become unusable and nobody wants to make it usable.[2]
Right now it seems to me that it is not possible to do a good FDE on Windows, or are there alternatives that I am not considering?
