I have an image with an unknown, possibly damaged, partition table.

I want a command line tool, which looks the sectors and finds filesystem signatures in it, and then dumps it to me. Ideally, the output would like so:

sector type
345 ext4
23423 ext4
64748 yaffs2

...or any equivalent.

I've already tried testdisk, and it is... well, it does not work. First, it known only a few, mostly archaic partitions. Second, it wants a C/H/S geometry, so it belongs to a museum.
