I have a very very old Linux box that communicates with Windows 10. Actually I need only one function - shutting the Windows down from the Linux. I've found that that could be done using Samba:

net rpc shutdown ...

The only problem that I have no Samba packages on my Linux box and I can't update it for some reason. I can write a code using C++ but I can't find any reference, documentation or examples about MS realization of their RPC.

If there any simple and small library that implements MSRPC? In no, although a simple description of the protocol would be enough for me. I guess it's just some socket mechanism with a specified message format ...
