I've been setting up our office to permit as much remote access as possible, and one of our production systems is still running MacOS 10.2.8. Unlike newer versions of MacOS, this doesn't come with a built-in VNC or Remote Desktop server. Must-haves:

  • Support for MacOS 10.2.8

Nice to have:

  • No known security holes. I'll be configuring a firewall to limit where people can access from, but I'd like this as a backstop.
  • Ability to change which port is used.
