I created a .net program in visual studio which runs locally in my company and stores data in an access database. I have been using crystal reports to create summaries and graphs of the data stored in the database, but I find the reports to be very limited in terms of the type of report it produces, the quality and the possible user interactions.

I was wondering if anyone knows of other reporting software that can read an access database and present the data in a more modern and interactive way. For example there's a lot of project data stored in my database with timesheets and due dates, I'd like to have a report which places the projects on a calendar with their deadlines, and when you mouse over the project bar you could for instance see the time spent on the projects.

Even if it's in a different programming language, like a plugin I can purchase that could present a dashboard like view of my database information?

Thanks for the suggestions!
