I'm teaching a grade 8 class how to make websites. Unfortunately, they only have access to Chromebooks (no downloading of software or saving files to the hard drive).

I'm looking for an easy to use website that allows people to create, edit, and delete HTML/CSS files, store them, and preview their changes.

It has to be something simple as something like Wix or Wordpress is far too complicated for this task. Any ideas?

  • Just to be clear: You are looking for an educational tool, not a web host, right? – Nicolas Raoul Nov 12 '19 at 1:45
  • @NicolasRaoul that is correct. Just something that kids are able to easily create files, edit with a web IDE, and view the web page at some URL.... I know of Mozilla Thimble does this, wondering if there's anything else. – Ricky Nov 12 '19 at 20:31
  • @Ricky: Please add an answer detailing Mozilla Thimble, and see if other answers come up :-) – Nicolas Raoul Nov 13 '19 at 8:59
