I work in a biology lab. Whenever we go out on the field, we start collecting data on notepads using some form of writing utensil. It's usually a large matrix I fill up with numbers. Probably the most repititive part of my job involves going to lab and feeding all of this information into Excel or R or whatever painstakingly by hand for further analysis. I was wondering if there was a method to take a picture of these note sheets and processing it with some code to make a 2d array of all the data I've collected and transfer it to some statistical software. Does a python library exist for this job?

  • Add #ocr tag to question. try PyTesseract for it. – ArcherGodson Aug 16 at 1:56
