At work we have a set of computers that are always offline for security reasons, to that extent, to install Visual Studio i created an offline installer for vs2019 pro edition, and i have read that i could just run the same command again to update all the files within the offline installer, but does that mean i would then have to run the entire visual studio install process again? I can not find that answer anywhere and i can not just jump on one of the restricted computers and waste time as they are always in use.

Else is there a way i can update visual studio for the offline computers such as a file which just contains the latest update that a standard vs user would receive?

  • Sounds like you have more of a tech support question, not a software recommendation question. Microsoft does happen to have a tech support site for Visual Studio. visualstudio.microsoft.com/vs/support/#talktous – Chillie Aug 14 at 14:21
  • Thank you, i shall ask them. – Edwin Martin Aug 14 at 14:53
  • uggg, they want £398.00 for support i will have to speak to HR and see if we have any support subscriptions :( – Edwin Martin Aug 14 at 15:13
  • Please note this site is about recommending software, not assets or resources like howtos, manuals/tutorials, etc. – Izzy Aug 14 at 19:47
