I love the Ruby programming language. I wrote some 2D GUI and TUI games for Linux with it, and I also created some simple system admin application, automation kind of things.

I am also learning Ruby on Rails. Which is kind of fun. But the part I hate about web development is JS. Don't get me wrong, it looks ridiculous to me. Harder than C at least, if not harder than assembly! So, I want to completely skip JS.

But I need to create a website for learning purpose completely from scratch.

Apart from using wix, squarespace or wordpress templates, etc. can I use ROR and Ruby (may be with CSS a little bit) to create professional looking, stunning websites?
