The question:

Is there a program similar to the simple UNIX/Linux "diff" that works on what the code DOES instead of the literal characters in my and his fc_net.py files?

The current problem I'm trying to fix:

Please skip all this if it's too long; mostly I just care about the question in the subject line:

I wrote some code to implement Neural Network "dropout" as part of assignment2 for cs231n, Stanford's "Convolutional Neural Networks for Visual Recognition." But there was a bug in my code, and I didn't know where the bug was. When I read my code next to someone else's code (https://github.com/martinkersner/cs231n/blob/master/assignment2/fc_net.py), it still was not clear to me what I did wrong, even though his code works and mine doesn't.
