I have a private Instagram.com account to which I only accept family members.

I have hundreds of follow requests, from random people or from Facebook acquaintances. Because of this, I often don't notice requests from genuine family members. To make things worse, Instagram mixes old requests and new requests.

At first I always pushed the Delete button on non-family requests, but the same people (real life friends) would notice that and request again, and again, and sometimes get sad or angry.

A browser extension would add a Hide button besides Instagram's Confirm and Delete buttons in the Follow requests - Approve or ignore requests website menu:

  • Firefox (or Chrome if needed) addon or Groovy script
  • Gratis, ideally open source
