My website has a contact form, and I was getting spam so I implemented CAPTCHA protection.

  • I tested my implementation and it seems to work for humans, meaning that I am able to use the contact form.
  • But how to check the behavior of the form for spam bots?

I could write a bot or configure an off-the-shelf bot, but:

  • I am not a specialist, so it would take me a lot of time
  • I would get banned by the CAPTCHA service, probably by IP, probably also via browser+OS+etc identification and other technical measures that I have never heard of.

A browser add-on would set the user agent, filter the JavaScript events/etc to make my clicks and text inputs look robotic, and other things I have not thought about.

Gratis, ideally open source.
