I'm looking to write a program which will intercept incoming packets on a certain interface or from a certain source and modify them before sending them out.
I have looked at libraries like pcap or wincap but it seems they just capture the packet for analysis.
What library can I use for the packet modification?
I would like to use C, C++ or go language.
I want the functionality to be similar to iptables for example, which can manipulate operating system chains and change the direction of the packet.

  • Welcome to Software Recommendations! Please see Should programming language recommendations be allowed here? Asking for libraries would fit here, but then you need to specify the language to be supported. – Izzy Feb 3 at 13:30
  • Now that the question has been edited to ask for a library, it can be reopened. @moses Are you looking to middy any particular layer of the OSI model? And any particular protocol? I.e TCP/IP, or some telephony protocol, ZigBee, Bluetooth, etc? – Mawg Feb 4 at 13:32
