I'm currently going through some websites that offer Microdata information.
Unfortunately, it seems that many websites use a 'loose' interpretation, have some mistakes or are rather free with the format.

Mostly I'm using extruct at the moment and get a nested dict out of websites. It works quite well to extract information from HTML.
What does not work very well, is the access of this extracted data, since some values might be directly in a string, others might be nested in another dict.

Is there a parser, which will parse and flatten the Microdata structure from HTML, so that I could access the data in python like

print(microdata['color'])
print(microdata['brand'])

or similar? Or maybe there is a library which will flatten my nested dict, so that it is possible to access things in an easier way?
