My development workflow includes the Subversion (SVN) version control system, So I've been using Microsoft Visual Studio with a great extension called VisualSVN for Visual Studio 2017 I found for controlling my SVN workflow within Visual Studio with great ease.

However, recently, my workflow has changed from using SVN to Git and I'm falling short of finding an extension similar to VisualSVN but for Git.

The two main features I loved about VisualSVN were

  1. Editor integration with diff changes (shows a bar with indicative colors where changes have happened).
  2. Editor's Context Menu integration (Shows options such as "Show Differences" in the Editor's context menu).
  3. Shows visually identifiable icons in Solution Explorer (yellow icon for changed files, green icon for unchanged files).

I'm primarily looking for these features in an extension. I've tried GitExtensions, EZ-Git-Extensions, Git Diff Margin among others but none appear to integrate very well with the editor as I'd want.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!
