I would like to have a fingbox-like home netwok monitor. I have a raspberry pi that I could run 24/7 (linux - ARMv8 architecture), and I also need a web interface. The solution has to be free (or open source). I'd like to detect if a new device connects to a network and get a notification (in any form, e-mail is fine). It'd be great if I would have access to the connection information concerning the devices connected to the network. I don't know if it's possible, but blocking devices from accessing the internet (you can do this on a real FingBox) would be an awesome feature to have. Is there a program that I could use to achieve the things I mentioned above? (I've found Nagios, but it doesn't run on the raspberry pi).

  • Welcome to Software Recommendations! We will need much more information to give good recommendations here. Please take a look at What is required for a question to contain "enough information"? Then please edit your question and see if you can incorporate some of these improvements. Especially missing: What features do you need? What details should be monitored? Are paid solutions acceptable and, if so, up to what price?
