I'm looking for software that can be used to do some accounting, budgeting and forecasting. In my old company, we were using Quantrix modeler that was great but it's kind of expensive for the company I'm working with now. Is there any cheaper alternative?

What I really love about Quantrix is the possibility to have an input table where I can insert entries (like costs and revenues) and then choose to send the values to other linked tables.

Example: in the input table I put this data: "1/5/2016; 300$; January rent", then I would like to choose where this cost will go in my budget/accounting/forecasting table, like budget-->monthly costs-->rent-->January and balance sheet --> rents.

I need something really flexible.

Do you want Excel macro's or actual accounting software? Because those are pretty different things and it's not clear right now what sort of thing would fit the bill here. – Caleb Jan 5 '16 at 13:31
  • I would prefer an accounting software, but duo to my budget cap i will be grateful with an Excel macro. – Pete_MG Jan 5 '16 at 13:56
  • I don't think the macro route is going to be on topic for this site or the best solution for you even if it was. Please edit this question to focus on the software aspect and detail what exactly you would like to accomplish from what data. Include your budget as one of the requirements; you might be surprised what's available. – Caleb Jan 5 '16 at 14:12
  • Edited, thanks for the help, first time I'm asking something – Pete_MG Jan 5 '16 at 16:07
