I'm developing a browser plugin in which users can select text on web pages in two ways (either-or):

  1. the text-content of the hovered element is considered selected
  2. the text provided by the selection mechanism built in the browser is considered selected

How can I call the 2nd option in an options page? e.g. does "browser-select" makes sense?

Sorry. This is off topic for Software Recommendations, and I'm unsure of a suitable site within SE. However, you might simply like to go with browser-default selection mechanism...? – ᔕᖺᘎᕊ Aug 23 '15 at 20:40
  • It might possibly be on topic at programmers.stackexchange.com - but I am not 100% sure about that – Mawg Aug 26 '15 at 6:54
