May 22, 2020 at 10:15 comment added peterh Afaik windows 10 detects the install device by the id of its motherboard and HDD controller. The ID of the HDD drive is probably no-issue (I am not sure for this week).
Apr 27, 2020 at 19:15 comment added Henrique I can confirm that it's the case, as I do it daily at work. If you replace the hard drive but it's the same motherboard and processor, your Windows will activate automagically. If you're doing a clean install, just choose the option "I don't have a product key", Windows will take care of everything as soon as the installation is finished.
